"I enjoyed it so much. I haven't taken a course like this before and I really liked the format. Having the yoga first, then the wisdom talk and finally the concert felt like I was traveling up different levels with each deity. You have so much information and love for each one of the deities. I felt like I was being introduced to old friends. I have repeated the lessons once and will do it again because I noticed that I missed some information the first time. Thank you so much. This course was beyond my expectations and I loved it."Kristin Leekley

Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda are prolific devotional singer songwriters and musicians in the genre of mantra music. They have released 14 albums together and have toured non-stop since 2012. Since 2012, they averaged over 200 events a year.
They have been regulars at many festivals in North America and teamed up with some of the most well known yoga teachers and mantra muscians in the USA at retreats and events.
They have also been regular practitioners and teachers of yoga along the way. They recently completed a 300hr teacher training along with an 18 day Bhagavad Gita course this spring under master teacher Ānand Mehrotra in the Sattva Yoga tradition. They feel blessed to share practices from this tradition during this course.
Jaya Lakshmi was initiated into the bhakti (devotion) path in 1992 by her Guru Govinda Maharaj. She has been a devoted mantra musician and yoga practitioner since the nineties and released her first solo chant album in 2000. She went on to release 3 more solo chant albums before meeting Ananda in 2010.
Since meeting Ananda, she integrated Kundalini Yoga as taught by KRI into her daily practice but now practices Sattva yoga. Her most influential teachers have been Kia Miller, Tommy Rosen, Sianna Sherman, Janet Stone, Saul David Raye, and more recently Anand Mehotra (Rishikesh, India).
Ānanda has been a dedicated practitioner and teacher of yoga since 2006. He is also prolific writer, song composer and devotional mantra musician.
Ānanda began his yoga journey at the University of Oregon with 4 years of Kundalini Yoga as taught by KRI with master teachers Viriam Kaur and Singh. From then on he became deeply embodied in the practices. He attended ten, 9 day intensives over the Summer Solstice in NM with some of the most well known teachers in KRI.
From 2011, he began his career as a bhakti (devotional) yogi after he met Jaya Lakshmi. He recorded albums, toured and shared the love of mantras, deities and yoga through music.
In 2020, he completed a 300 hr advanced teacher training under Anand Mehrotra in the Sattva Yoga lineage.
In addition to his BA in international and sustainable business, he has a minor in East Asian Religions and studied yogic philosophy at the University of Oregon and the Dharmalaya.
